About Us
War on Radio originated on The-N.com’s message boards. We started out with a topic called Music Zen. Music Zen was designed to provide genre definitions, swap music stories, ask questions, and have fun. We gave definitions and histories of emotive hardcore, punk, hardcore, independent rock, electronica, hip hop, and about every kind of metal known to man. Jacob had the idea of starting a music blog with its origins in Music Zen. Hence, Zen Music.
My uncle kindly agreed to provide us hosting through his web and graphic design company Workshed. This has brought about our new, and hopefully permanent, home at War on Radio.
We get that the internet is not short of opinions and we like to have fun with that. War on Radio covers music news, provides commentary, shares personal music stories, reviews bands and concerts, and tells a lot of really bad jokes.
We want as much feedback as we can get, so contribute to the site through comments and positive recommendations for improvement. As a simple commenting policy: don’t do anything that violates basic rules of common sense. Keep in mind that the internet is accessible by practically anyone these days, be they friends, family members, (future) employers, and significant others. We reserve the right to act as dictators and delete any comments that contain illegal content, flame other commenters or staff, or otherwise violate basic standards of human decency.
